Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I had the best day. Tom made it home safe from New Jersey and he surprised me and cooked me dinner. (I might add) - Cooked me dinner in our finally cleaned and all finished kitchen. It was the most amazing dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, bread, wine and chocolates for dessert. I was stuffed.

I totally agree that Valentine's Day is a cheesy commercialized holiday, but it is nice to take one day out of a crazy week and spend time with each other and relax. A really good reminder of how blessed I am.

I can't wait to spend 100 more Valentine's Days with Tom. Couldn't have asked for a more sweet and chivalrous husband.

This was delicious.

My Hammerpress/letterpress card that I got for Tom.

He's pretty cute!!

Come and Knock on Our Door!

Please see the above video for the theme song of our new door!! We had a new door installed this week. Our old door was brass and 25 years old, so it was time to go. Not to mention the dents, dings, and crooked frame that came with it. Picking out a new front door was so hard! It's the focal point of the front of your house. It really sets the town for what's inside. There was a lot of pressure in picking a new front door.

You have to decide what kind of lock you want, what color, what doorknob, what material, what kind of glass, how many windows you want. Lots of tough decisions  We had been looking at new front doors for almost a year now, and I just couldn't make up my mind! I am sure the guys at Lowes are really sick of me.

I searched one of our favorite websites, Houzz and was totally creative when I just went with the most common door that I found on there. Oops?

We even have a fancy new lock that you don't even need a key for. You just push the code and it opens. Whammy! Magical!

Here is our brand new front door.....

Come and knock on our door...
