New Additions to the Sanford Home!

We still have a few things we need to find for the basement including minor things like doors, art and curtains. ;) Come visit us, and test out our new furniture soon!

The title of this blogpost may be misleading... no puppies or babies in the Sanford home. (A different kind of addition) Although, I am a little sad about the puppies! I could really use one of those little guys in my life. BUT... with the new furniture/carpet additions it will definitely be awhile before we let any puppies (or babies) in our nice, new basement! 

Tom and I worked so hard before the wedding to refinish the basement and get the carpet in, and then we had no furniture to enjoy it on. It was fun to watch TV on the floor, and we even had an air mattress we put out to watch movies on. (no judgement zone!) We finally got the furniture delivered a couple weeks ago, and have really been enjoying it! Tom set up the new table, bench, lights, and bar stools upstairs in the kitchen. (He is the best handyman!) We are going for a "rustic" look in our kitchen, and main floor, and a more finished look in the basement.

We still have a long ways to go, but that's the fun part. Picking out pieces, and searching for good deals with your husband to decorate your home is the best! (love the way that sounds) I am so lucky that Tom picked such a beautiful house, and that we get to make it into our home together.
